Coastal Oil and Gas drop planning appeal in South Wales
Coastal Oil and Gas (one of the company names associated with Gerwyn Williams of UK Methane notoriety) have abandoned their appeal against a decision by a local planning committee to refuse their application to drill near Llanrahan in South Wales.
In the proposed drill plan, Coastal would have begun exploratory drilling opposite Llanrahan house and gardens – a site of some historic, landscape and amenity value.
More details on the reasons for the companies decision to withdraw and look for an alternative site, can be found at the excellent Drill or Drop web-site.
