UWE talk – Fracking and the Environment: what we know and what we don’t know, Wednesday 11th December
UWE are holding a talk on Fracking and the Environment on Wednesday 11th December, which will explore some of the key issues surrounding fracking such as:
- What are the UK’s demonstrable shale gas reserves and are they significant for our energy security?
- Are current regulatory agencies well equipped to regulate this new industry?
- What are the implications for water management?
- What are the implications for air quality and carbon management?
The speakers are from UWE’s Department of Geography and Environmental Management – Jenna Brown, Dr Chad Staddon and Dr Enda Hayes.
Held in Frenchay Campus’ Q block (Room 4Q56), doors open at 18:00, with the talk starting at 18:30 until 20:00.
