UK Methane who own three of the Petroleum Exploration Development Licenses in Somerset have declared Compton Martin as an area they wish to test drill.

This meeting is a chance for local people to hear the facts to make up their own minds about whether this unconventional gas drilling is welcome in their community.

People attending can expect a short presentation and film followed by questions and answers, as well as time to talk about potential local responses. Please bring any queries you have about unconventional gas.
