For the first time in the UK, the fracking industry is attempting to extract gas commercially, at Preston New Road near Blackpool. Stopping the frackers there will deal a critical blow to the industry and send a strong signal to investors. This summer, there are audacious plans for groups from across the country to ramp up the resistance.
