Actor Mark Ruffalo sends message to Cameron
American actor and activist, Mark Ruffalo, has sent a personal message to Prime Minister, David Cameron, urging him to abandon Fracking in favour of renewables.
Award-winning actor, director and producer, Ruffalo, cited the will of the British people in not wanting Fracking in his plea to Cameron.
Cameron has previously gone on record to say that he would listen to the people of Britain when considering whether to push ahead with this controversial energy extraction method. However, recent changes to to planning law and procedures seem to be paving the way for a by-pass of local democracy in order to bring success to Fracking companies.
In this context, Mr Ruffalos intervention is both timely and welcome.
