Film Showing in Ubley, Friday 6th December

There will be a showing of the Frack Free Somerset film The Truth Behind the Dash for Gas by Marco Jackson at Ubley Village Hall in the Chew Valley.
The film looks at how drilling for unconventional gas could affect Somerset and covers local geological concerns, the potential industrialisation of the landscape plus threats to health and water supplies, with examples from Australia and the USA.
The Chew Valley is covered by two existing explorations and development licenses and planning applications for exploratory drilling could be made at any time. The film lasts for one hour.
