Frack Free Somerset is a coalition of concerned groups in Somerset who are taking action on hydraulic fracturing. In evaluation of the evidence and risks related to fracking, we believe it is an unacceptable energy option for the whole of the UK that threatens the safety, health, landscape and water quality for human and nonhuman communities.

We are a diverse network of local people willing to take action together for clean water & the environment. We know that community action is necessary to stop the spread of this destructive method of energy extraction and therefore stand in solidarity with the three protesters on trial in Lancashire, who have used the only means they have to try to stop untold damage to the environment and human populations.
