Saltford Environment Group organised a successful public meeting about fracking which took place on Monday.

Thirty people including representatives of Saltford Parish Council attended the presentation on fracking from an organisation called ‘Frack Off’ (http://frack-off.org.uk) in Saltford Hall.

Hydraulic Fracturing is a highly controversial mining technique for natural gas. ‘Fracking’, as it is known, could well be taking place in the near future around Saltford without local action.
